How do you treat a wasp nest wall cavity?

Wasp nest removal in wall cavity spaces and roofs happens through the gap the wasps use: a weep hole, a vent, the join under the eaves, a lifted tile or a split in the cladding. We puff a registered insecticide dust or foam through that gap so it spreads through the whole nest.
Then we leave the entry open for a day or two. Returning foragers carry the treatment in. Blocking the gap too early is what sends wasps chewing through plasterboard into bedrooms.
After that the dead comb can simply stay put; wasps store no honey, so there is little to smell. Renovating that wall, or dealing with a monster nest? We can open the lining and lift it out for a separate price.

Only if you want it out. Most treated nests stay in the cavity. If you want it removed, we quote the wall work first.
Can wasps chew through plasterboard?
European wasps can, particularly when their usual entry is blocked.
How do you remove wasp nest in wall brickwork?
We work through their own doorway, the weep hole or gap, so the product reaches the comb inside. Then the doorway is left alone for a day or two.
Can you reach nests under two storey eaves?
Yes. We use extension gear and ladders and take the exposed comb down once it is treated.
How often is there a wasp nest in chimney flues?
Now and then, mostly in chimneys nobody uses. Bees choose flues more often.
Will a dead wasp nest smell?
Hardly ever. It is dry paper with no honey stored in it.
Can we use the room next to the nest?
Usually yes. Shut the windows on that side until tomorrow and ring if any wasps get inside.
